2012 Reinventing My Hair With a 3/4 Wig Half Wig

Well, here we are in the new ear already, Xmas and NYE have whizzed past at the speed of light and it's now diet time and reinvent yourself time!
I am starting my diet officially on the 1st of Feb... well I gathered I've been too much of a piggy so far in Jan, so I might as well leave it now and start a fresh in Feb. With regards to the rest of me, my hair has definitely taken a hit this winter. Although it hasn't been too cold, all the partying, constant blow drying and styling has taken it's toll. So, my solution for my hair reinvention is going to give my hair a break and make me look great (vein I know). I have a collection of 3/4 wigs (available from Wonderland Wigs), and so I am going to be relying on them for styling va va voom, volume and an instant fix. I've got the long blond wavy 3/4 wig with fishtail headband and also the long blonde standard 3/4 wig hairpiece. Both are totally excellent, as instant fixes.

My hair needs some care!

Today i am deep conditioning my hair ready for Christmas, i will use Matrix Biolage Intensive Strengthening Masque. It is totally amazing, fortifying your hair and protecting against breakage. It brings your hair back to A* condition... just what i need at this time of year and ahead of all the inevitable straightening and curling that i am going to be doing!

Elizabeth Taylor Cleopatra Wig is up for auction

The iconic dark brown human hair wig worn by Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 film Cleopatra, has come up for auction. The wig is an amazing long bob with bangs and braids decorated with gold-coloured beads and coils.

The wig is being sold by Heritage Auctions, Texas, and is expected to fetch approx £7,000!

Margaret Barrett of Heritage Auctions said: "Cleopatra was filmed in Italy and Stanley Hall, who was an international wigmaker to the stars, made all the wigs for it.

"About 30 years ago Stanley Hall gave the vendor about 40 or 45 wigs from the film. Of all the wigs used in Cleopatra this must be the most iconic. If you think of the movie and Elizabeth Taylor in it you can see her in this wig.

"It is made of real human hair and has gold beads woven into it. It looks very authentic and is a real quality wig.

"Elizabeth Taylor has only recently passed away and she was one of the last great movie stars and there is a lot of interest in memorabilia related to her at the moment," she added.

Congratulation Little Mix - X Factor Winners

I am not a massive fan of the X Factor, but i did catch the final last night and Little Mix were great. So a big congrats to them.

As for their hair, i am not such a big fan!

Jade Thirlwall seems to have the best hair, and i love how she changes it in to different styles so seamlessly. From her afro look, to last nights stunning layered look. Her hair looked amazing. If you want to recreate this look, i know just the place for the perfect wig, the stunning Amy Wig from Wonderland Wigs, a dark brown and red wig, it is simply stunning with long layers and flicks.

As for the other ladies from Little Mix, i am looking forward to seeing how their hair and style in general evolves and changes. I will be keeping a very close eye on their hair and can't wait to see the style transformation.

Welcome to the wig and hairpiece blog!

I have created this blog to bring you news, and updates in the world of hair and wigs. I know that there are already a few wigs and hair blogs about, but still felt compelled as quite frankly i think that i can do better! I willl be bring you hints. tips and news on new products, up and coming styles and trends, as well as much more.

So why do i think that i can do better?! Well, i am an expert in the area of wigs, hairpieces and hair. I have been experimenting and wearing wigs and hairpieces for years, and was so inspired that 3 years ago i set up my own business (wonderlandwigs.co.uk), which allowed me to design and create my own hairpieces and wigs and bring my world of glam and perfect hair to thousands of other ladies.

I think that all in all my many years of experience in the hair sector qualifies me to report to you on the world of wigs and hair.
